Between the last three quarters of 2013 and first quarter of 2014, UHY LLP's Michigan offices added 69 employees to their team.

The Michigan offices were excited to welcome their biggest hiring class of interns and staff accountants on Monday, January 6. The orientation training was held in the Farmington Hills office.

"This year we took a different approach with having many of our partners leading the recruiting at the college campuses. This allowed our leadership the first look at these candidates with their initial interviews. The consensus is that we had a lot of great students to make offers to and feel like our newest employees may be the best class ever at UHY LLP," said Dan Markey, managing partner of the Sterling Heights office.

"Campus recruiting is an ongoing process in which recruiters are making sure to identify talent. It's all about building relationships and adding that talent to our firm to help us grow," recruiting manager, Rina Henning added.

And the firm’s growth is far from over! As a top accounting firm, we are always scouting seasoned financial professionals who seek to take charge of their careers. Visit our website at www.uhy-us.com and check out the careers page.

In addition, UHY proudly recognized 42 tenured employees during quarterly breakfast meetings throughout 2013. Awards honored employees who reached milestones of employment from five years on in five year increments. In fact, six employees actually reached the 30-year or more mark in 2013! Gordon Follmer, founding partner, celebrated 45 years; Pete Meagher, partner, celebrated 40; Pat Gregory and Dan Markey, both partners, hit 35 years with the firm; and Steve Cheaney, principal, and Dennis Petri, partner, both celebrated 30 years.
